Never Hike in the Snow | Review & Score

About: 3 months prior to the events of Never Hike Alone that follows the strange disappearance of Mark Hill, a Crystal Lake resident who went for a hike in the dead of winter and never came home.

In this prequel to Never Hike Alone, Vincente DiSanti provides us with another solid entry into the sister franchise to one of the greatest, most prominent and successful horror series of all time, Friday the 13th. This, of course, is before the events of NHA, so if you've seen NHA, it's pretty much a must to check out Never Hike in the Snow.

Terrific story, cinematography, direction, performances and some clever kills make NEVER HIKE IN THE SNOW one of the best fan made films out there. Don't get me wrong, I've seen a few of these fan short films revolving around Jason, but what Vincente DiSanti does with the material is what should be made into full length feature projects for theater-goers.

Bottom line, if you're a huge fanatic of the Friday the 13th series, Vincente DiSanti does some taut justice for it. Maybe we should just give DiSanti the rights to the whole future of the franchise and let him run with it. Definitely wouldn't hurt and I'd sign off on that myself.

By the way, Vincente, you make a KILLER Jason Voorhees. Great work!

5/5
