Terrifier 2

About: After being resurrected by a sinister entity, Art the Clown returns to the timid town of Miles County where he targets a teenage girl and her younger brother on Halloween night.

Damien Leone's TERRIFIER 2 is a gory good time of a sequel to a cult classic.

David Howard Thornton's ART THE CLOWN is out for more sinister fun. This time, he targets Lauren LaVera's Sienna, her brother and her friends.

LaVera and Thornton are both fantastic in this film, particularly LaVera, who brings a tougher side to the Art story, making her a more quick-witted and more intelligent adversary to Art and his evil doings.

The story is fairly underdeveloped, but in this case, with Art the Clown, we don't need too much reliance on heavy story outlines. Although, I hope we get to know more about Art himself. Like, how did he become to be what he is? Is he supernaural? I feel he's part supernatural and part human. I don't know. Maybe they gave it away in this sequel and I didn't catch it.

If not, then we definitely need a prequel down the line to explain some things. Or... Terrifier 3 will maybe get us more of a glimpse inside the background of Art. Until then, let's embrace the gory good time this franchise has become and continues to be.

I do hope we get more Art in the future, I'm become more fascinated with him the more times I go back and watch these movies.

All in all, TERRIFIER 2 is fun, gory, humorous, unintentionally humorous at times and just a lot of fun watching Art meet his match in Sienna. LaVera is a great final girl and Thornton is as quietly menacing as he always is as Art the Clown.

I did enjoy the addition of THE LITTLE PALE GIRL as Art's menacing sidekick.

Fans of Art and badass final girls will enjoy Leone's second go 'round.
