Dream Scenario

About: An ordinary family man finds his life turned upside down when strangers suddenly start seeing him in their dreams.

DREAM SCENARIO will not be everyone's cup of tea, for sure. But it has some sharp dark comedy points to it, which is what kept me in tune.

I liked the performances, especially Nicolas Cage's. He really does a fine job these days slipping into some of the most random characters you can write on screen. Cage, here, has some of his GONZOness to him while also coming off rather calm, cool and collected. At least in terms of Nicolas Cage.

I found the plot and characters to be pretty much right aligned with what makes a dark comedy a dark comedy, in my eyes. I've seen so many of them that everything here in Dream Scenario fits the mold. It does a fine job at showing what being a 'viral' star is really all about and the costs it can make in someone's life.

There, honestly, really isn't much more to say about this film. It has a vibe that if you thoroughly enjoy everything a dark comedy has to offer, you should stick around til the credits to get your fixing. It will definitely throw other moviegoers off with it's subtle quirky touches and outlandish plot arcs.

If you love Nic Cage, it's worth seeing him really go through it with this one. He's fun, calm, but showing what makes him the most dynamic actor working today.

I liked it.
