Escape Room: Tournament of Champions | Review & Score

About: Six people unwillingly find themselves locked in another series of escape rooms, slowly uncovering what they have in common to survive. Joining forces with two of the original survivors, they soon discover they've all played the game before.

Round 2.

The first Escape Room was very entertaining and was one of the best movies of 2019. In this highly anticipated follow up, it did not disappoint. Still entertaining, maybe it's how the concept of the film is structured all in all that makes it so damn entertaining. Whatever they did, it worked, twice. Taylor Russell and Logan Miller reprise their roles of Zoey and Ben, leading a new pack into the unknown, fighting for survival.

Director Adam Robitel also returns at the helm of production. Not many sequels can get the rub off of the first to get where it's going smoothly, but Escape Room: Tournament of Champions does so and does it well. Highly engaging, thrilling, beautiful to look at and has some clever twists. A good flick to turn on when you're bored on a rainy Saturday or Sunday.

It's not quite the level, however, of it's predecessor. But TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS is quite fun.

3.5/5
