The Texas Chain Saw Massacre | Review & Score

About: Five friends head out to rural Texas to visit the grave of a grandfather. On the way they stumble across what appears to be a deserted house, only to discover something sinister within. Something armed with a chainsaw.

Speaking of Sally Hardesty. What a final act. Even though THE TEXAS CHAIN SAW MASSACRE comes across more of a horror-comedy, it definitely has its moments of gruesomeness. I mean, you're being chased by a mentally unstable man with a damn chainsaw, of course its going to get bloody and brutal.

The performances are pretty solid, I know the character Franklin comes off a bit much in most eyes, but he ended being the one with the most common sense. But.. he's not for everyone. I didn't mind him and thought he was the smarter of the bunch. You gotta have at least one of those characters, right? Ha. All in all, Tobe Hooper's chainsaw horror comedy is a swing and a hit for me.

It's a cult classic with a ton of originality for its time and watching Leatherface run around, swinging his chainsaw should hit the right feels for most horror fanatics.
