Evil Dead Rise | Review & Score

About: A twisted tale of two sisters whose reunion is cut short by the rise of flesh-possessing demons, thrusting them into a primal battle for survival as they face the most nightmarish version of family imaginable.

Don't let the fact that Bruce Campbell doesn't show his pretty face distract you, EVIL DEAD RISE is too much fun. It's one of the more fun horror films I've seen since 'Smile' and 'Barbarian' tossed their names into the hat this past year. Speaking of Bruce... you might hear a thing or two. Keep a listen out. Anyhow, Evil Dead Rise is loads of fun, gory as all hell (literally) and has some solid performances.

It's pretty much what you would expect from this franchise, and it's in great hands for the future. It has some splendidness of 'Army of Darkness', mixed with some 'Evil Dead 2' throughout. Very entertaining from start to credits. Give it a whirl, you won't be disappointed. If you are disappointed, get your head straight, man. It's quite Groovy.
