The Hangover | Review & Score

About: Three buddies wake up from a bachelor party in Las Vegas, with no memory of the previous night and the bachelor missing. They make their way around the city in order to find their friend before his wedding.

THE HANGOVER is not the most original comedy, but it has a few fun moments that will keep me from giving it a lower grade.

Zach Galifianakis is the star of the show here. He is absolutely hilarious for all the wrong, careless, dimwitted and clever ways. He's the reason you'll stay around and hang with these doofuses who lose their buddy who is getting hitched soon after a night of drinking and debauchery.

Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and others don't really add much more substance to The Hangover, all in all. Cooper, now, is considered one of the best actors in Hollywood, but you wouldn't know it watching this one. Ed Helms, I feel, only got the part because of the rapid popularity of the hit NBC series The Office. The other supporting cast are pretty lifeless and add nothing to the film, maybe the story for setup, but nothing more, nothing less.

The Hangover has its moments, but you'll only watch it if you have nothing better to do on a weekend night. Maybe have a drink. Just don't roofie someone and forget where you stashed them.

2.5/5
